Finneys Hair Salon Policies


Guests

You’re welcome to bring a friend, family member, or child to your appointment. Please just keep in mind the space available in the salon and the length of your service so we can maintain a calm, professional environment.

Children in the Salon

If children are present, we ask that they remain respectful of the salon, our equipment, and the stylists’ working areas. Where possible, please keep the number of children to a minimum.

Smoking & Vaping

Our salon is a non-smoking space. Smoking and vaping must take place outside the premises.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards swearing, threats, or any aggressive behaviour. Anyone acting in this manner will be asked to leave the premises and may not be rebooked

You can book your appointment in the following ways:


1.⁠ ⁠By Phone:

Call us at 01225 754595. During busy periods, we may not be able to answer immediately. Please leave a voicemail with your name and number, and a stylist will return your call as soon as possible.

2.⁠ ⁠Online:

Book directly through our online booking system, available on our website and social media pages.

3.⁠ ⁠Via Social Media:

Appointments can also be requested through our social media channels. Please note that messages are checked daily, so for urgent requests like cancellations or same-day appointments, it’s best to call the salon directly

Pricing Policy


Our pricing may vary depending on the experience level of the stylist providing your service.

The prices displayed on our website and booking system are estimated costs to give you an idea of the service price. Additional charges may apply depending on your hair length, thickness, or the time required to complete your full service. Please note that the service times shown exclude processing time. If you need an accurate timeframe, feel free to call the salon and we’ll provide full details.

Colour services do not include haircuts or additional treatments. If you’d like any extra services, please let us know when booking your appointment. This allows us to give you accurate pricing and sufficient time to complete your service. Additional services will include extra charges

  • To secure any appointment, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Without a deposit, your appointment cannot be confirmed and the time slot will remain available for other clients.
  • We do accept some bookings via social media; however, messages are checked when a stylist is available. For urgent enquiries, please call the salon directly to ensure a quick response.
  • Please note: deposits are non-refundable if our cancellation policy is not followed.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy


To ensure fairness and respect for our stylists’ time, we kindly ask all clients to follow our cancellation and rescheduling guidelines. By booking, you agree to any applicable charges if this policy is not adhered to.

  • ⁠ ⁠Notice for Changes:
    To cancel or reschedule, we require at least 48 hours’ notice. Please call the salon to confirm, as messages via voicemail or social media may be missed.
  • ⁠ ⁠Late Cancellations & Missed Appointments:
    Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of your appointment, or if you miss your appointment, will result in your deposit being retained. Deposits are in place to cover the time reserved for your service and are non-refundable if the policy is not followed.
  • ⁠ ⁠Consultation Deposits:
    A 50% deposit is taken for consultations, which is redeemable against any service booked. This ensures our team’s time is respected and helps prevent no-shows.?
  • ⁠ ⁠Appointment Reminders:
    We send a confirmation text when your appointment is booked and a friendly reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment, asking you to confirm your attendance.

If you are late for an appointment


If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to carry out your service.

  • ⁠ ⁠If we are still able to provide your service, it may need to be reduced or adjusted to fit the remaining time.
  • ⁠ ⁠Please note that you will still be charged the full price for your original booking.
  • ⁠ ⁠If you know you might be late, please call the salon in advance so we can try to accommodate you.

This ensures fairness for all clients and helps us keep our schedule running smoothly

Appointment Amendments


Any changes made to your appointment on the day that reduce the time or cost of the service originally booked will still be charged at the full original price. This is because that time was reserved specifically for you and can’t be filled at short notice.

If you haven’t booked enough time for the services you need, your stylist will always try to accommodate you.

However, this may not always be possible, and we’ll do our best with the time we have available

Strand Test & Skin Test


  • ⁠ ⁠New Clients:
    If you haven’t had a colour or service at our salon before, a skin test is required at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This is essential to ensure your safety and to prevent any reactions to the products we use.
  • ⁠ ⁠Refusal of Service:
    We reserve the right to refuse any service if a skin test has not been completed.
  • Repeat Skin Tests:
    If you haven’t had a colour service in 6 months or more, a skin test must be redone to ensure there have been no changes in allergies or sensitivities
  • ⁠ ⁠Strand Tests:
    For major colour changes, we may also perform a strand test to check how your hair lifts and assess its condition before the full service.

This helps us achieve the best results while keeping your hair and scalp safe

Complaints & Dissatisfaction Policy


In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your service, we are happy to offer complimentary adjustments within two weeks of your appointment, based on the following guidelines:

  • Please contact the salon within 7 days of your appointment to discuss any concerns you may have about your service.
  • After a follow-up consultation, we may provide a complimentary adjustment. This must be discussed with your stylist and booked within 14 days of your original appointment.
  • All aftercare instructions for colour and chemical treatments must be followed. Your stylist will explain these clearly during your visit.
  • If it is found that aftercare has not been followed correctly, any further services required may incur additional charges. These will be fully explained during your consultation
